Perdiz hunting in Colonia is opposite of dove hunting, an Upland hunt over pointing dogs and limits are 10 Perdiz per hunter per day. Colonia Perdiz Hunting Trip
Colonia is easy to access from Montevideo, Uruguay, the city where the Uruguay international airport is located or Buenos Aires, Argentina, a main tourist city that we encourage our clients to visit.
Flights to Montevideo are available via American Airlines. There is a direct flight from Miami, Florida to Montevideo that departs Miami at 11 PM in the evening.
From Buenos Aires, it is a real treat to ride the hydrofoil fast boat to Colonia. A short 50 minute ride that includes comfortable seats, full service food/drinks, wifi, and on board shopping.
Now that you have the getting to Colonia information - the good stuff - the bird hunting in Uruguay! Perdiz hunting is a combo hunt with Uruguay dove hunting. The dove hunting is a high volume adventure while Perdiz hunting is an Upland hunt using the setters. A real treat for any bird hunter, the work and watching the bird dogs go on "point" when they smell and sense the Perdiz in the fields. The hunting takes place in short grass, no sharp thorns or difficult conditions. You will walk a lot, so comfortable hunting shoes or boots are recommended.
